KPN stops August 1 with cloud storage service Up
KPN will stop offering its own cloud storage service. On 1 August the service, which is called up, no longer use, and customers should therefore secure their uploaded files for that date.
KPN logo In a letter to clients has informed KPN Up be taken offline. Starting next month, it is no longer possible to upload new files. Then so customers have a few months to get their files up before they are no longer accessible by August 1st. On its website, the provider sets put what to do up users.
Why KPN stops Up is not disclosed. However, it is likely that the company decided by the plug to pull out the big competition of cloud storage services. The provider customers also points to the free alternatives that exist, such as Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive.
Up saw in 2014 was born. Customers with fiber optic internet was given 25GB of free cloud storage, while other Internet customers had to make do with 5GB. There were also offered paid versions of Up, which has significantly increased the maximum data space.Viewing:-145
