Kroes: more women develop apps
More women as app developer or elsewhere in the technology to work. This is suggested by Commissioner Neelie Kroes on ICT matters. If more women would work in the tech sector, the European economy would grow significantly.
Neelie Kroes At present, there are one hundred per app developers only eight women, according to figures Kroes presented . In total, less than 30 percent of the ICT sector female employees. Of the managers in the ICT sector, only 19 percent are women, while an average of 45 percent in other sectors.
Also, the number of women graduating with an ICT training decreases, says Kroes. Now, three percent of women who graduate diploma of an ICT training bag while it is 10 percent among men. It is unclear from what period the statistics tribes. “ICT is not just more of the geeky few,” said Kroes. “It’s cool and it’s the future!”
Kroes is very necessary that more women should indulge in ICT occupations. There is likely a shortage of 900,000 European ICT professionals, draws Kroes. If there are just as many women would work as men now work in the ICT sector, the gross national product of all EU countries, with 9 billion would rise, she says.Viewing:-234
