LaCie Introduces external drives with USB c connector

Seagate and LaCie have announced new external drives. LaCie provides its hard disks of metal enclosures with a Porsche Design and USB interfaces c. Seagate comes with a 2TB external drive which is 9.6mm thick.

LaCie brings together two lines of its new generation of external drives with Porsche design and USB 3.1 inte race with c-type connector. The thin line drives for use on the go will be available in versions with 1TB, 2TB and 4TB storage. In addition, there is a desktop-line with capacities of 4TB, 5TB or 8TB. Discs come from spring available in the UK for unknown prices.

LaCie Porsche 2016

LaCie also comes with the LaCie Chromé, an external drive that contains two SSDs and also USB 3.1 c. It involves USB 3.1 of the second generation, which offers theoretical throughput of 10Gbit / s. The two internal SSD each offer a storage capacity of 500Gb and stand in RAID0-coniguratie for a speed of up to 940MB / s. This drive is available this quarter and the price will probably exceed 1,000.

LaCie Chromé

Seagate is under its own name with a Backup Plus Ultra Slim drive. This external hard drive combines a thickness of 9.6mm with a storage capacity of 2TB. The disc comes this quarter available in the UK for a starting price of 89 euros.
