LeaseWeb retrieves Copper Surfer Tracker offline after complaint Brein

LeaseWeb torrent tracker taken offline after it had received a complaint from Stichting Brein. Copper Surfer states that it operates a ‘neutral’ tracker and it’s going to find a new hosting company. is one of the most popular torrent trackers on the Internet, but the managers claim that they do not link directly to torrent files or host it yourself. Nevertheless copyright watchdog BREIN LeaseWeb has submitted a request to remove the torrent tracker of its hosting platform, as reports TorrentFreak.

According brain links the website through “illegal hashes” to copyrighted material, partly because content can be found on The Pirate Bay uses the Copper Surfer Tracker. LeaseWeb has responded to the request and in the domain of Copper Surfer is currently read that blocked, as well as a Tor router on the same domain.

Brain gives administrators a chance. If they agree to block hashes that link to illegal material and websites like The Pirate Bay put on a black list, you might want to forgo the copyright watchdog of further steps. However, a tracker manager says no intention to go to the demands of Brain, partly because it is unclear which have legal status hashes. He is also looking for a new place to another hosting company.
