Lenovo Announces First Laptops With Mobile Intel Xeon processors




Lenovo has presented the first laptops with mobile Xeon processors. The Thinkpads have the Xeon E3 1500M v5 onboard, combined with up to 64GB DDR4 memory and an SSD with a maximum capacity of 1TB.

Some details of the laptop are missing still, as the GPU used. It is in any case an Nvidia Quadro model, but Lenovo does not mention what it is. What is clear is that the Thinkpad P50 and P70 ​​first notebooks announced a Xeon processor for laptops on board. Intel announced the arrival last weekend on which processors.

Customers can opt for an SSD up to 1TB HDD or up to 2TB. The laptop contains up to 64GB DDR4 memory in four SODIMM -slots. The workstations have an IPS screen with uhd resolution, with the option to take a touch screen with full HD resolution. The screens are 15.6 “or 17.3” wide. There are two Thunderbolt 3 ports for, inter alia, the connecting monitors.

Lenovo provides laptops with Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or even Windows 7, while there are also options to get the workstations with Red Hat or Ubuntu. The Thinkpad P50 and P70 appear in October, November or December. The smaller P50 goes from $ 1,599 fee, currently converted 1456 euro. The P70 starts at $ 1999.
