Lenovo has at Tech World event the Cplus and Folio gedemonsteerd; or a bendable smartphone and tablet. It is still prototypes, but the manufacturer expects that such devices “fewer than five years’ come on the market.

The Cplus has a 4.35 “screen and Lenovo presents the concept as a device that can be used as a smartphone and a bracelet. The Lenovo Tech World event the manufacturer showed a working prototype. The screen of those contained the necessary damage , probably due to the frequent bending demonstrations.

Lenovo Cplus Folio and will not appear on the market in their current form, but according to Peter Hortensius, chief technological officer of the manufacturer, it will take “less than five years” before such devices become available to consumers. He does not think bendable smartphones or tablets in this form already appear in the next two years.

According to rumors Samsung is already in 2017 to release a smartphone with folding screen. Presumably this would involve a screen to fold double towards the inside. In prototypes of Lenovo is the OLED panel just to the outside of the fold. The screen must therefore be made of a flexible material which can stretch. According to Lenovo This is one of the biggest challenges in production.
