Lenovo mobile branch is the first time since taking over Motorola profitable again
For the first time since the acquisition of Motorola by Lenovo in 2014, takes the mobile branch of Chinese electronics manufacturer in his own words breakeven. The quarterly figures still show a small loss of $ 30 million.

Lenovo claims that it has a global market share of 5.1 percent of the smartphone market and thus has the fourth place in the hands. Only Samsung, Apple and Huawei have a larger market share. In January, Lenovo announced to go from now on Motorola smartphones sell under the name Lenovo Moto. Although the brand name disappears, the Motorola logo is preserved.
On the market for desktops, laptops and Windows tablets knew Lenovo’s PC Group own words to put down a relatively good results. Lenovo yielded 4 percent fewer PCs compared to the same quarter last year, but the PC market as a whole shrank by 11 percent. Lenovo delivered 15.4 million PCs and thus has 21.6 percent market share held. In China that figure is now 40 percent. The quarterly profit before tax came from the PC Group to $ 405 million, 18 percent less than a year ago.
