Lenovo wants shoes with Intel Curie module release this year in China

Lenovo says its Yaoat F2 sneakers, which feature Intel’s Curie module in China later this year to bring to market. Later should also follow other regions. The manufacturer demonstrated the shoes on his Tech World event.

Lenovo used to be Yaoat F2 Smart Shoes soles of footwear manufacturer Vibram. In the shoe is an Intel Curie module processed. This chip the size of a cell containing a Quark SE-soc, an accelerometer and a gyroscope.

The shoes can be used with an app for Android and iOS. Carriers can accurately count their steps, according to Lenovo, it is possible to play games together with the shoes. Most likely games for smart phones in which the movements of the shoes can be used as a control of a game.

The sole LEDs are incorporated that can react to movement and music. The 300mAh battery can be recharged wirelessly with Qi technology by placing the shoes on a platform. Data transmission make the Smart Shoes using Bluetooth 4.1.

What the Yaoat F2 shoes will cost is not yet known. Lenovo Tech World says an employee of the company to Tweakers that the shoes in China before the end of the year come on the market. Later, the shoes should also come to the US and Europe.
