LG and T-Mobile have a solution for the bootloop problems that owners of a G7 ThinQ smartphone have suffered from last weekend. According to T-Mobile several devices have been fully recovered.

In an update on the T-Mobile Community , T-Mobile confirms that a definitive solution has been found for the bootloop problems: “After our call earlier this week, several users sent their device to our service center to have a repair carried out. The first aircraft have already been fully restored and are on their way to their owner, which in most cases is also done with data retention. ” The last sentence insinuates that the data has not been retained in all cases.

T-Mobile advises users with an affected device to report this for repair . The company warns users not to get started with a hard reset, for example, because of the risk of data loss.

The problems arose last weekend after an update for the LG G7 ThinQ. After installation, some T-Mobile users got spontaneous fixes and after a restart a boat run was created. According to T-Mobile, users now receive the V10p update of December 3 over-the-air and would not cause problems. “Users who receive a notification can do this update best, without having to send the device.”
