LG announces faster and more extensive WebOS version for smart TVs to




LG brings 2015 smart TVs with WebOS 2.0 in. The new extended version of the smart TV platform would be more intuitive and faster. More than 5 million households would now have an LG TV with WebOS purchased.

Compared to the first version of LG’s operating system for smart TVs, WebOS 2.0 would 60 percent faster boot. Would reduce remaining charging time and the speed when changing apps would be increased, with LG as an example, the transfer time when switching from homescreen to the YouTube app with 70 percent would be improved.

There is also new functionality, such as My Channels. This feature allows users to customize their favorite channels on the Launcher Bar. Quick Settings allows you to adjust settings on TV without interrupting programs and thanks Input Picker would connected devices for direct use are recognized.
