LG Announces Support For “Google Assistant”

On 90 Of Its Smart Home Appliances

LG today announced that 87 smart home devices from its range of products designed to connect over Wi-Fi wireless networks have become compatible with the Google Helper program available in Google Home and on Android smart phones that are powered by OSOS.

South Korea’s consumer electronics company said in a statement that the move was a reflection of its commitment to provide future platforms open to its smart home appliances from washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, vacuum cleaners, air purifiers and others.

LG is offering consumers the largest array of smart home appliances available today, allowing them countless ways to control their homes and enjoy the benefits of the connected home experience, adding to today’s latest advanced and easy-to-use connectivity capabilities, LG smart home with a Google assistant announced by the company earlier this spring, to its entire range of smart home appliances.

LG users today can hire a Google assistant to help them get their home business done with LG smartphones connected effortlessly without bothering them. For example, they can use simple voice commands on their phones or anywhere within the Google Assistant domain on Google Home to check the remaining time of washing sessions on their washing machines, or ask LG refrigerators to make more ice, or turn off the oven after cooking, Adjust LG’s temperature or even check the air quality at home using the LG air purifier. A helper on Google Home can recognize the voices of different people at home to interact with each individual in the family.

LG has stressed that the device control setting is simple and easy, requires only one free application: LG Smart Think, and is available on the Android and iOS. And allows the user to control the entire range of LG smart home appliances, in a very easy way, whether to preheat the oven before the user arrives home or to check the remaining time of the end of the wash cycle and exercise in the fitness room.

The LG Smart Think application offers a greater level of ease in using connected devices through its ability to learn from consumer usage patterns in order to anticipate its future needs, the company said. The longer a consumer uses LG smart home appliances and the more frequent it is, the higher its intelligence level. Using adaptive technology to understand usage habits and data analysis in the application, ” LG Smart Think, LG smartphones know when a user is alerted to the need for a refrigerator or air purifier, for example, to fill the filter stores, and to discover the accumulation and fabric of clothing in the dryer.
