LG G5 Review – Innovative attractive, high late stitches fall
LG has a history of mainly plastic phones. That was partly change with the V10 , which has a sturdy metal frame. With the G5 throws the playful manufacturer with the smiling logo rudder really to only metal by the flagship and so that additional modules, called ‘friends’ can be clicked on the phone.
The G4 last year’s design is so ended up in the trash. Where was this smartphone of plastic, with an optional leather back, the G5 has an aluminum case, like almost all high-end devices this year. However, the G5 is different, very different … Where other manufacturers together with the introduction of an aluminum and glass possibly abandon the removable battery, LG do not let it go. On the side of the unit is holding a button and if you pressed, you get off the bottom with battery and all of the unit. So you can quickly swap the battery.
A design so surprising, but not only because of the above. The device also has elegant, round shapes. The back is rounded off to the sides, the camera and fingerprint scanner are hills, the sides are also curved and even the front is rounded at the top and bottom, where it is mainly the sides on most phones. LG stands out in this respect, literally on all sides.
The result is that the G5 basically good in the hand, yet again, just not as good as it could have been. The shiny edge that runs around the device is in fact a little sharp. In practice, this is not very disturbing, but was finer slick. Manufacturers round the screen to the sides, so that you can wipe finer and on screen. That edge is at the correct angular G5 and that’s the price you pay for the original design.

That everything is not so bad, but something we have to charge the G5, the undersized finishing. This is a high-end phone, but a reboot in the design. Here and there the smartphone feels like a pre-production model. Thus the bottom is fixed on one side, and he is only clamped to the other side. Thus, you can move right and arises between the glass and the metal backing a crack where you can even see through it. Even without doing that you here, if you look in the light peeking through the phone. Further, the bottom of the device just what thinner than the rest of the device, which causes a small difference in height at the rear.
Another example of which some moderate finish is that the button in order to remove the lower end slightly protrudes and that the shiny line that is not on the same level must go through in the button with the line on the rest of the device. These are minor flaws and they obstruct the operation of the phone, but it still gives a feeling something cheaper than a sleek aluminum phone that really everything is right, as the Galaxy S7 or iPhone 6s to name some.
By extension, there is something strange going on. The G5 does not feel like an aluminum smartphone. That is odd, since according to the LG is a housing which consists of one piece and is made of metal. After a small riot that followed a video of Jerry Starry Very Thing, which found that the upper layer is indeed not of metal, giving LG answer to the question of what it is. The layer that you actually touch if you have the G5 in your hands, is a coating. Which consists of a primer in which a layer of paint is sitting with tiny pieces of metal in them. Under these two layers, however, there is indeed a metal case. The phone is thus strong, but still feels like he’s made of plastic. The advantage is that the phone feels lighter than the average metal smartphone with similar dimensions.
We ask further whether the connection of the bottom and the clips holding the battery last for years if you frequently swap the battery. When we asked him for the first few times with policy loose and tight clicked, he was sometimes locked properly and came the plastic casing of the battery even a little loose. There is no button in order to release the battery pack, because the button which is on the side of the base, it is for loosening the bottom itself. The bottom is also pressed when you press the button on the outside of the housing. To release the battery, you must first disconnect the left side of the battery and the parenthesis that is not really intuitive. Straight up or on the other side does not help pull.

Other housing characteristics
The buttons for the volume are on the left at the G5 posted These are not as easy to find by touch, because they have no relief and do not protrude far. For us it would have been more convenient if they were located on the right. The power button sits before at least not in the way, for w hich is located on the back of the unit. This button is integrated fingerprint sensor. It detects your finger by the way very quickly.
Under the unit contains the USB-C connector and the speaker, and on top of the mini-jack input. Also included is an infrared blaster at the top, so you can use the G5 as a remote control. Please note; it is a small one, so you’ll have to teach him better than your regular remote control.

Speaker and call quality
LG puts generally slightly more emphasis on audio than most smartphone manufacturers. We got in our review copy no earplugs, but we have been able to test the speaker in front of the iPhone 6s Plus and the HTC 10. The iPhone is known for its natural sound from the speakers and HTC emphasizes the good sound in its marketing 10. In contrast, we have put the G5 and different kinds listened to music.
The G5 thereby came out on top. It is pleasant to listen to the speaker and the maximum volume is quite at the level of an iPhone 6s (Plus), and still not shrill. However, the G5 gives some show slightly less harsh weather than do the other devices. Perhaps that is deliberately adjusted so to make it sound not overdriven sound. Although the iPhone and HTC 10 to hear more details and certain sounds that do not display showcases the G5, we prefer to sit still with a G5 on a picnic blanket than the other two mentioned smartphones. What is especially positive is striking is the subtle ’rounded’ basje of the G5 which, although not pop, but it sounds good.
About the call quality we had nothing to complain about in our test period. Volume was always hard enough, no creaking and voices always sound clear.Viewing:-131
