LG introduces pocket printer that can print at 600dpi

LG has announced Pocket Photo 2. The small printer for photos is thinner than its predecessor and offers some new features. For example, the Korean manufacturer, among other things, the resolution which can be increased to 600 dpi for printing.

The Pocket Photo is a compact printer that allows users to print photos. They have taken with their mobile phones directly eg LG has just as in the first version NFC functionality added : users can create a smartphone with NFC keep the printer to start with which the image can be edited and an app that allows the image to print wirelessly.

Compared to the first Pocket Photo is the thickness reduced from 24mm to 20mm. The accessory is also 76mm wide and 120mm long. Despite the reduced size, the battery life would be improved if it is not known how many minutes or hours. Finally, the resolution is improved from 313 to 600 dpi.

The printer still has support for bluetooth and there is no ink needed: Pocket Photo uses Zero Ink technology which is printed on specially coated paper that contains color pigments. When exposed to heat, the pictures developed. The printer can handle Windows 8, iOS and Android. In January, the Pocket Photo in South Korea is on sale for an undisclosed price, followed by the introduction in the rest of the world.
