LG seems to be planning to release a physical debit card where users can connect their existing cards. The so-called White Card seems to be part of the previously announced payment Pay.

The rumors are coming from the usually well-informed Korean news website Etnews. It also showed a picture of the possible payment card. Then we see that LG has incorporated a small window which is likely to show that payment card is active; according to rumors it is indeed possible to connect all kinds of different existing cards to the so-called White Card. So users need to have only one payment card in their wallet.

Besides a small screen, the White Card has buttons to switch between different payment options. Also, a connector is present in order to charge the card; an indicator of the remaining battery capacity is located on the screen. How long the card lasts on a single charge, however, is not yet known.

The Korean manufacturer was planning to announce the White Card at the Mobile World Congress will be held next month. A spokesman for LG, the existence of the White Card, incidentally unconfirmed, said that most major payment providers will join the LG payment service.

LG brought Pay some time ago, but the service is currently only available in South Korea. With LG Pay is one of many tech companies that has its own payment service, in addition to such companies as Google, Apple and Samsung. It is unclear whether the release of the White Card is also accompanied by a wider rollout of Pay.
