Rumor: LG’s 5g phone released in April is successor V40 ThinQ

5g phone that LG started to test last week is according to a South Korean site the V50 ThinQ 5G. That is noticeable, because LG has so far presented its V-telephones in the autumn. The V40 ThinQ is coming out this week in the Netherlands.

LG would like to present the V50 ThinQ 5G at the end of February at its press conference at the Mobile World Congress. Then the manufacturer would also reveal the G8, the successor to the G7 ThinQ. ETNews reports that, in the past, it has often published correct information about South Korean manufacturers, but it has also been wrong with rumors.

LG has already started tinkering his 5g phone and has already said that it will show that phone at the telecom fair. Many manufacturers are using that fair to show new models that will be released in the spring.

ETNews adds that it is possible that LG will make its G-line of smartphones disappear. That line exists since 2011, when the Optimus G came out. The V-series might take over the function of a series of high-end smartphones that appear in the spring. LG has not responded to the information from ETNews. The V40 ThinQ arrives this week in the Netherlands and is for sale for a few months in other countries. The G7 ThinQ came out last summer.
