Linksys decision not to release WRT-nas




The Linksys announced in January WRT-nas will not end yet. The storage system with space for two drives with a maximum capacity of 8TB and the same appearance as the WRT routers come into the market.

That report SmallNetBuilder based on statements by a spokesman for Linksys. Why Linksys does not continue with the storage system is not clear. The company is engaged in seizures to further explore ‘storage capabilities, but what it should be is not yet clear.

The WRT-nas system was part be of the WRT topline, such as the WRT1200AC- and WRT1900AC dual-band routers and SE4008-gigabit switch. The nas named WRT Network Storage Bay would offer RAID 1 mirroring and would include a Gigabit Ethernet port, a USB 3.0 and an eSATA connection.
