Livestream Introduces New 4K cameras Movi ‘with live editing options

Livestream, the company behind the eponymous website to stream and watch live events, has announced a new camera. Movi is intended as a live camera and only works in conjunction with an iPhone.

Livestream has announced three available versions of the camera. Two cheaper models by $ 399, or $ 199 if he is ordered as a pre-order, apparently differ only in color. There is also the Movi Pro for $ 649, or $ 399 for pre-order. The latter is basically the same as the other models, but comes with extras, including the Movi Boost. This accessory is the extended battery life and adds an Ethernet port.

The company behind the camera indicates that the camera only works in conjunction with the accompanying iOS application. This application is only compatible with the iPhone 5 or higher. Livestream does indicate a priority to support Android. From the app it is possible to control the camera and the picture slightly edited. If there is to zoom in and there is an option for both facial and gesture recognition.

The camera is equipped with a 12.4-megapixel sensor, which in the video mode effectively 3840×2160 pixels remain, corresponding to the resolution of 4k. The field of view is 150 degrees and the battery life is without the Boost accessory only an hour. The camera is able to make use of existing networks and iPhone connections, but can also set up their own network. In addition to live streaming, the camera can store images locally, either on its own SD card when connected to the iPhone. The cameras are shipped in April, also in the Netherlands. It then goes to the American version of the aircraft.
