A group of physicists at the National Institute of Standards and Technology states that loss of information transfer may actually lead us to the creation and development of future computers. And the possibility of building one of the first of these computers has become much closer than ever.

As proof of his words scientists lead data of an experiment in which they were able to confuse the two ions during partial loss of transmitted information. The process and the amount of loss of information were under the control of scientists, so the experiment was indeed successful. Now physicists are looking for a way to zoom in and prove the success of their public method.

Quantum entanglement is one of the two most important processes in quantum mechanics (the second is a quantum superposition). Its essence lies in the fact that when two particles become interconnected, their properties are beginning to adjust to each other. The ability to create quantum entanglement is a major factor in the development of qubits – quantum bit or smallest element for storing information in a quantum computer.
