MediaTek comes with SOC for wearables based on ARM Cortex-A7




MediaTek has announced a soc during the consumer electronics show CES, specifically designed for wearables that run on the Android Wear software from Google. The manufacturer uses a Cortex-A7 with a Mali 400 MP GPU.

MediaTek logo MediaTek speaks at the announcement of the MT2601. The SOC is a dual core based on ARM’s Cortex A7 design, with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. Wear for Android devices is now often a Snapdragon uses 400-soc. For the graphics performance MediaTek has chosen a Mali 400 MP GPU which supports the display of images with a resolution of 960×540 pixels.
