MHL HDMI demonstrates alternative 8k video supports 120fps

MHL will demonstrate at CES its own supermhl cables. The standard provides sufficient bandwidth to 8k images at 120fps again and also can deliver 40W. The private interface is reversible and can handle USB c.

MHL supermhl demonstrated in combination with the LG 8k TV 98UH9800 of. A prototype cabinet supplied the content via the supermhl cable and was powered directly through the TV via the standard. The narration was in the demo not 120fps, but supermhl would support this. The cables developed supermhl, a 32pins connector are provided and offer six data lines. The standard supports load with an output of 40W, where at present mhl 3 is 10W.

Supermhl supports alternative connectors such as micro-USB and USB-C at the source and HDMI type-A at the receiving device, but only its own connector can be used for both source and receiver, with six A / V lanes.
