Remember the funny cat ears Necomimi and tail Shippo from the Japanese company Neurower? So the company decided to introduce a new product «Mico» – headphones, which are controlled by your brain, but rather the mood. A prototype device has already been on display at SXSW last weekend.

Neurowear Mico can connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth and select music tracks that were previously tagged with a special application. True the headset Micro – it’s like a giant iPod shuffle: that there, that you can only use 100 music tracks. In any case, the principle of work is as follows.

Headphones have special sensors that read the impulses of your brain. You feel sad? Mico include, for example, a blues song. Feel that you are full of energy? Here’s a disco or dabstep. Selected tracks can be changed simply shaking your iPhone. But in that case, you just do not listen to your own brain, which tells you what style of music you are currently fit.

In Neurowear explain:

«Mico release the user from the need to choose the artists and songs. Headphones will do it for you. Device reads brain activity sensors, and the application automatically starts playing the music that best suits your mood. ”

Journalists from the website Engadget has managed to try these headphones for yourself. First, they noted that at the time in the world there are only two pairs of headphones, and both of them are just prototypes. Then the guys said that the choice of songs was not quite as smooth as we would like. The device is considered that the journalist was “focused” and always choose a song it was under this mood. Taking into account the very idea of such headphones, it’s hard to be concentrated. In general, headphones are mistaken. But again, let me repeat that this is only the first prototype. Some elements were generally made using 3D-printer.
