Microsoft: 75 million systems running Windows 10

According to Microsoft Windows 10 now runs on more than 75 million systems worldwide. The operating system has about a month done to achieve that number. It is not known how many licenses sold goes.

The number of 75 million systems which now runs Windows 10, it was announced by Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of Windows & Devices Group. It is not known how many cases are going to take paid licenses, but falls to the largely ‘free upgrades. The figures show in this case that many Windows users seem willing to make the switch to the new version. Microsoft’s own aim is within two to three years one billion devices running Windows 10 to rest, but in doing so it comes to PCs, smartphones, tablets, consoles and other systems together.

Mehdi also announced that Windows 10 installed in 192 countries around the world and that 90,000 or tablet PC models running the OS, including relatively old systems from 2007. He also claims that users six times as many apps per device from the Windows Store download as Windows 8.

The growth in the number of users is difficult to compare them with those of previous Windows versions, because of the free upgrade. Microsoft sold in 2012, a month after the Windows 8 launch 40 million licenses of the software, compared with 60 million licenses in two months for Windows 7. In the long run proved less popular Windows 8: 15 months after Windows 7 was 300 million licenses sold while Windows 8 after that period, 200 million kept stabbing.
