Microsoft adds automatic albums and ‘Pokémon detector’ to OneDrive

Microsoft has announced some new features for OneDrive, including automatic albums and an improved search function. The company also comes with a ‘Pokémon detector’, which searches and classifies screenshots for Pokemon.

OneDrive Microsoft announces that the automatic photo albums recognizes taken in rapid succession and at the same location. From these pictures, the ones with the highest quality are then put into an album, then the user receives a notification. The company also adds a function that shows daily photos of the same day in previous years.

In addition, it is now possible to search directly from the overview of all photos. This can be done on the basis of tags, location, or emoji. The way photos in folders are displayed also received an update, including an option for larger thumbnails and a new menu. In addition, users automatically get to see their OneDrive photos when they log on to the Windows 10-photo app.
