Microsoft adds new features to the Office applications on the Web

Microsoft’s extensions to improve the package of Office applications for the Web

Microsoft announced plans to add improvements to its package for the Office applications for the Web Office Web Apps in the coming period. Which focuses on improving the experience of use, and support joint work between users, and spread across different platforms.

Recent updates include improving the speed of open files, and add the option to “search and replace” to the application of the “Word” in order to facilitate editing documents online.

Microsoft allows editing the document from more than one person already, but added recent improvement include the ability to “co-authoring in real time” in Office applications; so that the user sees the amendments others and Adavathm to document as they occur without the need to refresh the page. Microsoft began providing new feature in the application of “Power Point”, to include the rest of the applications, “Word” and “Excel” and “One-Note,” in the coming months.

Microsoft also revealed its intention to provide the Office applications on the Web for tablet computers operating system “Android” through the Chrome browser, which it launched Chrome browser support for portable devices.

Earlier reports had talked about the development of Microsoft’s new version of the Office package bears the name of “Gemini”, third version is available for Android and iOS systems, and pose in October 2014.

She wrote Amanda Evpfera, director of product marketing at the company, in the official blog of the Microsoft Office that the goal is to provide office applications that can be relied upon to create documents from start to finish online. She pointed out that improved speed and Internet browsers made it a better platform to build Office, and supported their ability to provide a comprehensive productivity experience.
