Microsoft asks to share ideas for HoloLens applications

Microsoft calls in which it asks to share ideas for applications of the HoloLens. On a special website ideas can be submitted. The winning idea will work out Microsoft; the code will be open source available.

On the website that Microsoft has created, people can share their ideas and view the creations of others. It’s also possible to vote on ideas. After the submission date, which runs until January 11, 2016, the development team switch will select the three most feasible ideas. It is chosen by voting on Twitter one winning idea, which will then be brought to life. Microsoft promises to make this process transparent and to make the code open source available.

Microsoft says the action have created to let developers see what is possible with the augmented-reality glasses. During the period in which people can submit ideas must appear blogs in which the feasibility is discussed and when more information comes out about developing for the HoloLens.

Developers can in the first quarter of 2016 itself to work with the HoloLens-sdk. Which must appear for $ 3000. Asus is working also on a agumented-reailitybril which should reach the market in 2016. Previously, the company had discussions about this with Microsoft.
