Microsoft claims to have underestimated demand for xbox one Elite Controller

Microsoft’s Xbox boss Phil Spencer said the company underestimated the demand for the xbox one Elite controller. The controller with an MSRP of 149.99 has been sold out in many places and is possible only after the Christmas becomes available.

Spencer does rulings against other users on Twitter. The US Microsoft Store page for the accessory is quoted it will be sent on December 28 as they now place an order. In the Dutch Microsoft Store the controller sold, but no date is mentioned there. In many Dutch and Belgian webshops, the controller is also sold out. Spencer apologizes and also makes no promises regarding availability before Christmas. The controller may get for December 5 therefore seems impossible.

One Xbox Elite controller was on the E3 show this year announced and it came on the market in late October for a suggested retail price 149.99. While that’s nearly three times as much as the retail price for a regular Xbox One controller, seems not to deter consumers. Another way to get the Elite-controller is optionally as part of the Xbox One Elite-bundle. Microsoft seems however to struggle on that front with deficits. Tweakers himself at the E3 show this year tested the additional extended xbox one controller.
