Microsoft Monday released a Windows Phone app to support Lumia handsets gestures with the mobile operating system. So can be more absorbed by lifting the smartphone and keep your ear.

The application is called Gestures and is currently still in beta. With the Windows Phone users can continue their microphone on silently through the smartphone with the screen down to lay down. Additionally, they can activate the speaker by the smartphone with the screen facing up.

Gestures works with Windows Phone 8 and 8.1, as Microsoft says. If known, the company supports all recent devices, although the Lumia 635, 630 and 530 “limited functionality” get. This presumably refers to the absence of the distance sensor, which include at stopping the phone does not work with the deposit.

While the first is that Microsoft provides Windows Phones of control through gestures, it is not new that a manufacturer uses this technique. Among other HTC did this already in some Android devices.
