Microsoft cuts prices for Surface Pro
Microsoft lowers the retail price of the tablet Surface Pro for professional use. This follows a 30 per cent reduction in the cost of Surface RT in June. CEO Steve Ballmer admitted that sales of Windows-tablet Microsoft fell short of expectations .
Starting today Surface Pro will cost 10 percent less. Within the United States the cost of Surface Pro with memory of 64 GB and 128 is reduced to $ 100. The changes were not all regions. While the new prices are valid for USA, Canada, Taiwan and Hong Kong, according to the resource The Verge.
According to a recently published report, Microsoft Surface earned on sales of $ 853 million , but the increase in stocks of finished goods forced the company to make concessions. In Microsoft hopes that the decline in prices will increase the demand for goods.
Recently, Microsoft has made it clear that the development of new models of Surface RT and Surface Pro is in full swing. It is expected that the professional version of the next Surface will use the Haswell processor , and the new Surface RT will cost around $ 250-300 .
