Microsoft: Demand for Surface 2 with Windows RT exceeds supply
Microsoft Surface 2 tablet with Windows RT is very limited available in the Netherlands, Belgium and the surrounding countries. According to Microsoft exceeds demand exceeds supply, causing shortages. This Microsoft seems to have learned from the first Surface RT tablet.
Microsoft Netherlands itself, the Surface 2 tablet with Windows RT and 32GB storage memory not in stock and the same applies to Belgium, France and Germany. In PriceWatch tablet last week was almost out of stock at online shops, as well as the 64GB edition. In the meantime, the web shops say to be able to provide, again, but it is on the basis of a supply of only seven pieces.
“It is continuously supplied, but supply is limited”, Microsoft admits, “What comes is distributed across our commercial and consumer channels. Currently, the demand exceeds the supply.” The manufacturer has not yet answered questions about the offer and sales. Is thus unclear whether the sale can be. Also called a success
The limited deliverability is striking: in the first Surface RT tablet with Microsoft Windows RT remained with huge stocks down by disappointing demand. As a result, Microsoft entered the tablet at dumping prices, sales, and Microsoft had to write off hundreds of millions of euros. Microsoft seems to have learned from this and the Surface 2 to produce. Only limited
Windows RT is the version of Windows provided for arm processors that hitherto barely caught on with consumers. Virtually all manufacturers stopped selling tablets with the OS, because of poor sales. Only Microsoft and Nokia itself produce even Windows RT tablets, and Nokia is only for the U.S., the UK and Finland.
