Microsoft is releasing smartphones with a storage capacity of 4GB can not update to Windows Mobile 10, according to the text on the German site of Microsoft. This included the popular Lumia 530 will not update to the new OS.

The German site of Microsoft dedicated to the Windows 10 update states that 8GB of internal memory is required for the update, noted Windows on United. The Dutch and English versions of the same site, the report has not yet to be found, but it is obvious that there will. Microsoft states on its English page about Lumia Storage also just how much space is left on devices with 8GB, 16GB and 32GB.

The reason for excluding 4GB devices is likely that the update is too large. According to Microsoft, after the update of 8GB internal storage only about 3GB, the system and bundled apps thus occupy 5GB. That’s more than the 4GB who have such devices.
