Alex Kipman, the CEO of the HoloLens division, has put a teaser on YouTube that hints at the arrival of a new model. The teaser movie refers to the press conference on 24 February at the Mobile World Congress.
The video does not clarify the new augmented reality glasses yet. The teaser video seems to show materials such as carbon fiber. Perhaps that says something about the construction of the new glasses. The fact that Kipman is posting a video makes it clear that HoloLens news can be expected during the Microsoft press conference at the Mobile World Congress.
The presentation of Microsoft takes place on February 24 at 5 pm Dutch time. Ceo Satya Nadella is present, together with HoloLens CEO Alex Kipman. His presence was announced earlier, which led to speculation about the introduction of the new HoloLens.
There have been rumors about the new HoloLens for some time. At the end of last year , Neowin claimed that the new model will receive a Snapdragon 850-soc. The new model would also offer a larger field of vision than the current version.
