Find a Question:
“Microsoft Hololens runs on new generation Atom processor ‘
Microsoft HoloLens would contain an Atom processor from the Cherry Trail generation. Intel this processor has not been announced, but the mass of the Cherry Trail Atoms would start in early 2015.
Microsoft made during the presentation of the augmented reality glasses known that HoloLens beside a CPU and a graphics chip contains a holographic processing unit. Microsoft gave details about the hardware, but a source of PC World claims that the CPU is an unannounced Cherry Trail Atom.
Cherry Trail is the successor to the current Bay Trail platform. Cherry Trail socs have Airmont- instead of Silver Mont-cores and are manufactured on 14nm instead of 22nm, allowing them to operate more economically. The GPU would get a boost: Intel claims that the GPU Cherry Trail twice as powerful as that of Bay Trail.
There are no details about the HPU, which Microsoft describes as a ‘new type’ processor. The HoloLens is an augmented reality headset with transparent lenses that runs on Windows 10. The headset works autonomously and is probably around the same time as Windows 10 on the market.Viewing:-180
