Microsoft introduces Minecraft: Education Edition
Microsoft has announced a new edition of the popular game Minecraft. Minecraft: Education Edition is designed for classroom use as a tool for learning different subjects, from history to physics.
Very much there is no change compared to the standard version of the game. On the education version of Minecraft is added an improved card to make it easier to navigate. Furthermore, a teacher of the materials students can use limit and is an added in-game camera with notebook to keep track of what happened.
On each server can work together forty participants and assignments drawn up by a teacher. To support teachers, has made it easier to adjust the Minecraft world and a website would be set up where teachers can help each other. The website dedicated learning worlds can be placed with lesson plans that can be used again by other teachers. Microsoft has not shown itself to create worlds for use in the classroom.
Microsoft shows the possibilities for the use of Minecraft in education at the Bett show in London. It will give during the show workshops on how Minecraft can be used, but will also show a demo of Minecraft: Education Edition.
Minecraft: Education Edition is produced in collaboration with the makers of the MinecraftEDU mod for Minecraft. Microsoft says to get the end of the school year with the price of the educational version of Minecraft. For now, the plan is to ask five dollars per user per year.Viewing:-187
