Microsoft is testing platform HockeyApp about




Microsoft has taken the test platform HockeyApp for an undisclosed sum. Developers can send via HockeyApp beta versions of new apps to testers on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and OS X. For example, developers can collect feedback.

The acquisition of the German HockeyApp is announced on the company website. The purchase price was not disclosed. HockeyApp continues despite the acquisition just in the air and also preserve all accounts. The software is according to a blog posting from the boss of Microsoft’s Developer Division in the Application Insights service included in Visual Studio Online.

HockeyApp resembles Flight Test, a test suite that early this year by Apple was purchased. Big difference is that Test Flight focuses exclusively on iOS developers, while HockeyApp is suitable for all major platforms. Developers who use the test service get crash reports include indoor and HockeyApp offers an integrated feedback system.
