Find a Question:
Microsoft is working on news app that reads messages
Microsoft is working on an application called Newscast. The aim of the software is that it compiles a playlist with news stories, which are then read out. The app comes out for mobile operating systems, but has not been officially released.
The Redmond company had put the conscious application on its website, but this has now again taken offline. Probably Newscast not yet ready to be released. Neowin discovered the existence of the application and was thus the possibility for a short test. The site describes Newscast as a reading application for news.
With Newscast is a playlist made of news that may be interesting and do not last longer than 30 seconds. The user can then listen to this. It is possible to set the balance between local and global news content itself, but for the rest there are few customization options. There are no options to modify the news feed. However, you can choose from two available voices.
Probably due to the lack of features with the fact that the application is still being tested internally and therefore is not finished. Neowin came across an iOS version of the app, but it is likely that Newscast also be released for other mobile operating systems such as Android and Windows Mobile 10. When the software should be ready for use is not known.Viewing:-182
