Microsoft is working on Skype Teams to compete with collaboration application Slack. According to reports on the Power User MS, it is possible to conduct conversations in threaded Skype Teams, something which can not in Slack.

Furthermore seem screenshots MS Power User has , looks suspiciously like how Slack. A threaded conversation or a conversation in a wire for example, the way how to respond to Tweakers on each other news, making the list of several conversations in the channel remains clear.

Microsoft further integrates various functions Skype and Office 365, such as video calls within a channel or private. Meetings can also be scheduled to be shared for teams and files. Presumably also integrated Bones Framwork of Skype emoticons and other graphics to be used in different ways via the function The Fun Picker, like gifs and memes.

Skype Teams must work on all devices, which in practice means that a browser version and a Windows app. Skype Teams must also come to Android, iOS and Windows Phone. When the application is made available to the general public, is not known. In March this year it was known that Microsoft Slack wanted to take over eight billion dollars.
