Microsoft has released a new version of Cognitive Toolkit and the code made available under an open source license. Developers can now Python or C ++ – code combined with the toolkit.

Microsoft has the Cognitive Toolkit made available on GitHub . Besides the fact that combining the toolkit from the last version of Python or C ++ – code, the toolkit now supports reinforcement learning. Microsoft also claims that the performance is improved.

The Cognitive Toolkit is to bet for deep learning. Here, researchers with extensive training sets of data to systems learn to recognize patterns in visual or audio material. The toolkit has its origins in software that researchers at Microsoft institute CNTK baptized and which enabled them to work faster and more efficiently. Then the focus shifted to speech recognition, but now the toolkit for lots of deep learning applications deployed.

As used white goods manufacturer Liebherr these to be recognized fridges what is present in the cold and on this basis to create shopping lists. The team’s Bing search engine converts the toolkit to trace the context of searches. According to Microsoft, one of the strong features of the toolkit that it works efficiently with large datasets are used as multiple systems with CPU or GPU clusters.
