Microsoft pulls update for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 back due to bugs




Microsoft has withdrawn an update for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 8 indication. The update took care among others that Outlook 2010 clients could no longer connect to the Exchange server.

According to Heisenberg makes the Update Rollup 8 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 after installation for connection problems with the groupware server. For example, some users of Outlook 2010, their ‘sent items’ in their mailbox is no longer open. The calendar function may not operate properly.

Microsoft acknowledges the problem, though this would only occur on servers running the SP3 version of Exchange Server 2010; systems with SP1 and SP2 are not affected by the bugs. The software giant has now decided to remove the offending Update Rollup 8 offline and to make it available again until the bugs are fixed. Microsoft recommends that companies and organizations that are already installed on the Update Rollup to remove it through the rollback feature.

In addition to problems with the updates for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 seems update KB3002339 for Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 contain errors; various users report that they can not install the update to their systems. It is still unclear what the exact reason.
