Microsoft releases its own launcher for Android out




Microsoft, while not giving much attention, a first version released by Arrow, a launcher for the Android operating system. Interested parties can participate in a beta program, but it is also possible to simply use the installation file.

Visit Microsoft News discovered that a non-public beta test is set for Arrow. Moreover, it is possible to request access: it must via a dedicated Google + -community. Who will be allowed to download the Arrow launcher and use it on an Android device. It is also possible to simply take the installer to get the launcher on the smartphone, making participation in the beta program so it is not necessary per se.

Arrow distinguishes itself from other launchers because the three pages, which the user does not have to match. The first page displays the contacts, while the second is for the representation of the applications; at the top are recent used applications, followed by the most used applications. The last page is for notes and reminders that can be set by the user.

Possibly the beta program ensures that more features are added to the launcher. However, it is unclear exactly what the plans are, and when the Redmond company will release the final version of the Arrow-software.

Microsoft already seems longer want to put his teeth in Google’s mobile operating system. So now also produces much of its software for Android. In addition to the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile operating system with some modifications run Android applications.
