Microsoft replaces Surface Pro 4 models

with screen problems after update
Microsoft has started to completely replace Surface Pro 4 models that have screen problems since an update that appeared on the tablet in July. That is what users report.

After a firmware update at the end of July, messages appeared on the Microsoft forum that the Surface Pro 4 had a series of problems. The worst of it was that the touchscreen no longer functioned. Microsoft replied to investigate the problem and come up with a fix, but it was delayed.

Reinstalling Windows did not work out and updating to new firmware versions did not help, writes the German Windows United . According to one of the users, Microsoft’s customer service said that the cause was a difference in the size of the old firmware version, which was overwritten but caused a failed / upgrade loop.

Some users now report having received a completely new Surface Pro 4, even if the warranty period had already expired. Microsoft itself has not responded yet. The latest update of the company is from August.
