Microsoft seems to have fixed a problem with Windows activations

Microsoft seems to have fixed the activation problems on Windows 10 Pro and WIndows 10 Enterprise. Many users report that their version of Windows is back on after it was briefly deactivated.

Among other things, on the Windows forum of Microsoft , users report that they have been able to activate their Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise. They had to use the Activation Troubleshooter in Windows 10 for this, which requires administrator rights.

Microsoft has not provided details about the fix that the software company has implemented. However, it already announced on Thursday that a solution would be reached within 24 hours. Users in different countries reported Wednesday and Thursday that they were dealing with edition downgrades from Windows 10 Pro and Education and that the activation was undone. The problem was with an activation server, Microsoft announced.

According to Microsoft it was a ‘small number’ of users and those affected could simply use their system. If Windows 10 is not activated, this can be seen from a watermark at the bottom right of the screen.
