Microsoft starts with supply of Surface Hub

Microsoft has indicated that it has begun supplying the Surface Hub to its business customers. Initially, the device with large touchscreen should have been extradited from 1 January, but Microsoft had to contend with delays.

On his blog confirms the Redmond company that business customers will soon receive their ordered Surface Hub. However, several large companies and organizations were already using the device, including the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. With the Surface Hub would be met more efficiently and information can be exchanged, thus saving money, as Microsoft claims.

Microsoft announced the Surface Hub for more than a year ago and was already known in prices in June last year. The device is primarily intended as a kind of digital whiteboard and therefore has a large touchscreen, with a maximum diagonal of 84 “. The price is around 22,000 euros, but there is also a cheaper 55” version with a price of around 8000 euro.

Years ago, Microsoft sold even though a large touch screen computer under the name Surface, having the form of a table. In recent times the Surface brand name, however, was only used for tablets and convertibles. The original Surface is now called Pixel Sense.
