“Microsoft test directly save attachments with OneDrive in Outlook.com ‘

Microsoft seems to Outlook.com users wanting to make possible to save directly to their e-mail attachments in OneDrive. This functionality was being tested: several users reported to have gotten the new feature.

That writes Neowin, who also got pictures in the hands of the new features in Outlook.com. On the pictures you can see that there is an option added to save email attachments in OneDrive instead of opening or downloading.

It seems that a select group of testers received the functionality: not all Outlook.com users can now directly save email attachments in OneDrive. Because Microsoft itself has not said anything about his plans, it is unclear whether and when the new feature true for everyone. However, it is plausible that in time all users are given the opportunity, as Microsoft has been working to integrate its cloud storage service in other products.

OneDrive can automatically store all files created in Office such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint files. The storage service also automatically sync new versions of documents and shows a version history.
