Microsoft withdrew support for Fair Search-organization back
According to the site Recode, Microsoft late last year withdrew its support for Fair Search. This is a coalition of several companies, which stand for transparency and protection of competition when it comes to online search services, especially those of Google.

Recode reported that an employee of Microsoft would have indicated that the company regularly takes into consideration its participation in various organizations, and has now decided to leave Fair Search. A spokesperson for the organization says that the work of Fair Search nevertheless’ will go on unabated.
In 2013 it was the coalition, which includes Nokia and Oracle are part, are involved in a complaint against Google with the European Commission. According Recode is the main purpose of the group is therefore to thwart Google, both in the US and the EU. Also on the own page sets Fair Search Google monopoly in the market for search engines abused to restrict competition. The withdrawal of support could therefore be seen as an approximation attempt by Microsoft, according Recode.
