Microsoft Xbox 360 update gives to support 2TB HDD’s




Microsoft wants the Xbox 360 firmware update on which it is possible to connect external hard drives with capacities up to 2TB on the console. According to the software giant, this is one of the most requested features by the owners of an Xbox 360.

The firmware update with 2TB support is currently only available in the so-called Preview Program. Microsoft has this test now created for the Xbox 360, after a similar group of beta testers already was available for the Xbox One.

In addition to supporting 2TB disks that can be attached to the console via a USB cable, says that Microsoft Xbox 360 firmware will reserve no more room on a connected hard disk. Furthermore let Microsoft know that some external hard drives performance problems may or may not work. However, no further details gives the company. The firmware update will come later this year for all Xbox 360 users are available.
