Miele is working with Microsoft to smart kitchen appliances




Miele has worked with Microsoft created a concept for kitchen appliances that work with mobile devices and Internet services. When the concept was an oven set on the basis of the recipe that a user selects on a site.

In the proof-of-concept Miele, users can choose recipes on a site then not only the steps that the user must take the preparation to be put on a smartphone or tablet, but also automatically programmed oven. The furnace is put in the right position, the temperature is determined automatically, the times are put and the other institutions no longer run manually.

The oven was previously connected to Microsoft’s Azure cloud service. The companies emphasize that it is a study and not to products ready for market introduction, but they explain, however, that it is an example of how the Internet-of-things and cloud services not only for enterprise but also to put consumer applications are. Miele and Microsoft are trying to put more of these projects with Internet on legs.
