Miito induction rod to reduce energy waste kettles




Water boil a kettle is not very efficient because there is often more heated than necessary. The makers of the Miito think here what to have found a solution: they made a rod that should help to heat only the water that is actually used.

The Miito consists of a base, where a cup or tea pot and can be put on a stick. The base is heated to the rod by means of induction, after which the stick, the heat is released to the liquid in the surrounding area. For example, a quick cup of tea, or something else, are put with only the amount of water that is required, according to the authors. According to the makers Miito little complicated to use. There is only one button to turn on and off the heating. A cup of water was heated in about 60 seconds, while it is required for a tea pot full of about 2.5 minutes.

With a Kickstarter campaign to the German makers of raising money to be able to bring the device. At the time of writing is already fetched 350,000 euros, well above the intended target of 150,000 euros. Those interested can purchase a Miito for 90 euros.
