It continues according to Minister Henk Kamp of Economic Affairs under the new EU rules on net neutrality forbidden for providers to offer subscriptions where streaming example Spotify is not going on the data bundle.

The expectation was that allowed to offer under the relaxed rules of the European network neutrality providers subscriptions, which, for example the use of Spotify, Netflix or Facebook outside the data bundle. Camp said in a note on net neutrality that this assumption is not true. “Since then I have come to the conclusion that both negative and positive price discrimination always impinges on the rights of end-users as defined in Article 3, second paragraph, of the Regulation.”

KPN offered by Endless Spotify subscription that violate appeared with the Dutch net neutrality and that option may not reintroduce as discuss the new rules. Meanwhile, the provider offers users Spotify take extra 1500MB instead of the option to trigger it from the data bundle. Vodafone did something with HBO Go.

The Netherlands has for some years net neutrality enshrined in law, but the rules are automatically replaced by that of the European legislation. That happens on April 30, as the European directive will apply.
