MIT develops inexpensive manufacturing process for the input device on the skin




MIT has partnered with Microsoft research department developed a manufacturing process called “DuoSkin. This makes it possible to apply to input devices on the skin which are very similar to temporary tattoos.

The researchers write that they were looking for a way to use the skin as a ‘controller’. In addition, thWith the DuoSkin-procedure a variety of purposes could be achieved. Thus, it is possible to make a trackpad to control any device, for example a computer or a smartphone. In addition, it is possible to change such a “tattoo” of color by using the heat-sensitive pigment.
