Mobile carrier YouFone has lowered prices on its calling and internet bundles. It has removed the option for subscriptions of a year. Customers can now only choose from a canceled monthly subscription or a two-year option.

YouFone has served over taken the smallest of 200MB data bundle, reports GSM Helpdesk, telecom site who discovered the changes. The biggest price drop is in the data bundle 2000MB, which ranges from 16 euros to 12 euros and therefore drops a quarter in price. YouFone offers its services through KPN’s network and customers have access to 4g. This option costs € 5 per month.

It is unknown why YouFone lowers rates, but probably has to do with increased competition. So this autumn Tele2 began offering new subscriptions in combination with its own 4G network, while Simple rates also decreased.

Update, 11:57: The customer YouFone has confirmed that even though all the pages and order pages produce a different impression at all subscriptions except the 5GB bundle 4G is not included but is a paid option. This option would only be after the close of the subscription are available. The limitation is visible by pressing the page next to the word Internet on the ‘i’. That seems to be the only place YouFone for closing the subscription lists the speeds.
